Two guys who loved running. To many injuries and Barefoot Running was the solution for both and that was the beginning of Copenhagen Barefoot.

We would love to be able to share our passion for Barefoot Running and Environmental Awareness with anybody who was in for a sharing.

We at Copenhagen Barefoot really care for the environment – We will leave NO litter behind – We will do everything to keep this race friendly to the environment and everything around the race has the environment in focus. That is why we have decided to let any surplus from our race go to Nepenthes .

Nepenthes is an environmental organisation working to encourage sustainable use of the world’s forests, particularly in­ Denmark and in the rainforests of the tropics.

This is accomplished through projects on the ground in forest areas and through political lobbyism. Much of our work is carried out on a voluntary basis; thus much of our activity is based on the free labour provided by our 60 active members.

Copenhagen Barefoot are really keen to make this the biggest and best organized Barefoot Race in Europe which will be a great place to meet up with like minded.

Everybody working with Copenhagen Barefoot work as volunteers.

Most of the content on this site will be written in English to reach more people. It is possible to get translations using the flags in the right hand side but to lessen the work it is an automated process which will give a few mistakes which we hope will be okay.
